North Carolina Courage Houston Sport reviews
Great game, great venue, poor logistics !
The game was great and venue could be great ! I only had a few easily fixable issues.
1. The team stationed a videographer, with a camera on a tripod, directly in front of our seats that I specifically picked at midfield for the view. He stood for the entire game. It also affected the view for at least 20 other nearby seats. For this game we were able to move to other seats to have our view only partially obstructed, but they were not as good as the ones I purchased. If it had been sold out, that would not have been possible. There is a deck just below our section (503) where they could have put the camera/staff and gotten a very similar view, and obstructed no one ?
2. New policy of charging $ 10-15 for parking ? Bit steep for an essentially minor league/AAA venue.
3. $4 for a bottle of water ?
4. We arrived just in time, due to traffic back-up problems getting in across the railroad tracks and Rt. 54. = problematic entry point = poor planning. When we got in, no one offered a program. We hurried to our seats. When we looked at half time, our side of the stadium was ”out of programs”. We were told to walk to the other side of the stadium, and “they would have them for sure”. When we got there, were told that the table with programs had closed for the game ? We asked several staff, but never could find one.
These issues all seem minor, and I know you are shooting for a MSL franchise, but you are NOT there yet, and your pricing should reflect that. The other issues, except for the entry/traffic issue are easily fixable.
Great game even with parking nightmare.
I took my niece to see the Courage vs the Pride. Once we actually made it inside the experience couldn't have been better.
The parking for this venue is a nightmare. I had a VIP parking pass which I realized meant we would be right next to the stadium. I allowed and extra 45 mins for that reason. We arrived an hour and fifteen minutes before the game just outside the stadium.
There was no law enforcement presence to direct vehicles or control traffic. It took all one hour and fifteen minutes to make it to the VIP lot, circle it once to realize there were no spots, and park in the over flow lot.
I've been to larger venues with more parking and a higher seating capacity. It has never taken me that long to park and make it in to a game and I've been to professional baseball and football games.
My niece missed the opening of the game because the parking is such a mess at this place.
Luckily, we had a good experience after that but I'll have to think twice about going to another game especially since we came all the way from Winston and it was already an hour and a half drive.
Amazing Women, Thrilling Game!
If you haven't been to a Women's soccer game, you need to go. The talent on the field is mind-blowing. The NC Courage is an incredible team with an insane depth of talent. The stadium is wonderful and your kiddos can get up close and personal with their favorite players, so many of whom after the game, took time to sign autographs and take pics. I think every boy and girl should have the opportunity to see such powerful, talented women play. It's a great family event but it's a blast for anyone who loves a great sporting event.
